Hello and welcome,

I am Sébastien Hillaire, principal engineer in Graphics within the Unreal Engine team at Epic Games. My main focus area is rendering: pushing for visual quality, high performance and great workflows.

Previously, I was senior software/rendering engineer at Electronic Arts (Criterion, then Frostbite engine) and Dynamixyz. I obtained my PhD in Computer Science from the French National Institute of Applied Science in 2010, during which I conducted research on using gaze tracking to enhance virtual reality user experiences.
